  • Jeff Brickman, FACHE, Chief Executive Officer St. Anthony Hospital President, Mountains & North Denver Operating Group

    Jeff Brickman, FACHE, CEO

    Jeff Brickman joined Centura Health in 2011 as the president of the Mountains and North Denver Operating Group (MNDOG), the largest division of Centura Health, as well as the president and chief executive officer of St. Anthony Hospital. As group president, he oversees the strategic and operational planning for the region’s integrated health care delivery system within the Centura Health network. This network, exceeding $1.1B in revenue, is comprised of six hospitals as well as an extensive ambulatory footprint including a comprehensive range of outpatient services. 

    Prior to joining Centura Health, Mr. Brickman was the system senior vice president of Provena Health and the regional chief executive officer of two hospitals and an ambulatory network in Joliet, Ill. Prior to that, he served as the executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Meridian Health System in Wall, NJ.

    Brickman began his career in health care management at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield, Mass., the state’s third largest hospital and flagship medical center for Baystate Health (BHS), in various senior leadership roles of increasing managerial responsibility. 

    Brickman earned a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences at the University of Connecticut, Storrs, and a master’s in business administration with an emphasis in health care administration from Temple University in Philadelphia. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and also serves on numerous other civic and professional groups. He and his wife, Elaine, a registered nurse, have three grown children.

     

    Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer

    Patrick serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer for St. Anthony Hospital (SAH) and is responsible for providing overall operational leadership and daily planning for the hospital. In addition to acting as the St. Anthony representative in all operational-related initiatives, Patrick is a key member of the SAH senior executive team which is charged with the development of service line strategies and operating plans to enhance patient care and grow market share within SAH's overall primary and secondary markets.

    Patrick has a successful track record of leading growth and financial performance in key service lines through the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to enhance the range and value of the medical center operations and services. Patrick has over 15 years of well rounded experience working in major comprehensive academic and large health system environments demonstrating his skill and expertise in operational management and productivity improvements, physician relationship building, capital construction project management, strategic planning and policy development.

    He is known by his colleague's as a result oriented leader who takes pride in consistent performance and effective stewardship. Ultimately, his approach to leadership comes down to "Accountability and Creditability".

    Patrick earned a Master's of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Central Oklahoma and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He also volunteers his time in the community with various non-profit organizations that focus on improving the health of the community, education and leadership development for today's youth.

    Linda Goodwin, MSN, MBA, FACHE, Group Chief Nursing Officer, Mountains & North Denver Operating Group

    Linda Goodwin, CNOLinda Goodwin, MSN, MBA, FACHE, serves a dual role as Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) for both St. Anthony Hospital and the Centura Health Mountains and North Denver Operating Group (MNDOG). A seasoned nursing executive with more than 30 years of health care leadership experience, she collaborates with colleagues here and across the Centura system to develop strategic and operational plans for enhancing clinical effectiveness, patient/associate satisfaction and value-based care at the community level.

    Goodwin joined our organization in late 2015, bringing group expertise gained as System Chief Nursing Officer for Via Christi Health System in Wichita, Kansas.  She previously had served as CNO for Memorial Health System in Colorado Springs. In both roles, her focus on patient safety, nursing education, physician collaboration and quality initiatives resulted in significant contributions to her hospitals’ nursing programs and care provision.

    A graduate of the nursing program of Marymount College in Salina, Kansas, Goodwin earned her MS in nursing from Fort Hays State and her MBA from Kansas Wesleyan University. She is a board-certified nurse executive, advanced by the American Nursing Association, and is certified as a Fellow of the American College of Health Executives (FACHE). She was selected for the 2015 Fellowship in Innovative Health Leadership offered by Arizona State University and the American Organization of Nurse Executives and has completed the Wharton School of Business fellowship program for nurse executives.

    Janell Moerer, Group Vice President Strategy & Business Development, Mountains & North Denver Operating Group

    Janell Moerer, MBA, serves as Group Vice President Strategy and Business Development for the Mountains and North Denver Operating Group (MNDOG) of Centura Health. Along with St. Anthony Hospital and OrthoColorado Hospital, this group encompasses Avista Adventist Hospital in Louisville, St. Anthony North Health Campus in Westminster and St. Anthony Summit Medical Center in Frisco.

    Moerer has brought to Centura Health a wealth of business development and strategy experience gained in the ambulatory care, hospital, post acute care, rehabilitation and insurance sectors. For the 12 years prior to joining our organization, she served as Vice President of Business Development, Innovation and Transformation for Via Christi Health, Kansas’ largest provider of health services with 15 hospitals, and over 300 employed physicians.

    Moerer earned her BS in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and her MBA from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. She is active with the American College of Healthcare Executives and a board member of Innovation Leader Network. Moerer and her husband Brent are the parents of two children.

    David Thompson, Chief Financial Officer, Mountains & North Denver Operating Group

    DavidThompson.jpgMr. Thompson joined Centura Health in 2003, bringing years of varied experience from the healthcare industry and the private sector.  As Chief Financial Officer of St. Anthony Hospital, Mr. Thompson works on corporate finance, operating cost reduction, earning improvement and healthcare organization and productivity. 

    Before joining Centura Health, Mr. Thompson worked for Providence Memorial Hospital, owned and operated by Tenet Healthcare, as Assistant CFO.  Mr. Thompson earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas Tech University.

    Michelle Fournier Johnson, Group Vice President Human Resources, Mountains & North Denver Operating Group 

    Michell Fournier JohnsonMichelle Fournier Johnson joined St. Anthony Hospital and the Mountains and North Denver Operating Group (MNDOG) in September 2012. She oversees Human Resources for MNDOG hospitals while providing strategic leadership with the other HR Centers of Excellence in the organization’s approach to talent acquisition, management, development and engagement.   

    Michelle joins us from Fresenius Medical Care where she served as Vice President of Human Resources for the West Division, with prior senior leadership roles with AutoNation, Coors Distributing Company, Pepsi-Cola Company, Xerox Corporation and General Motors.  

    Michelle has a master’s in Labor and Industrial Relations and a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Psychology and Employment Relations from Michigan State University.
