Jeff Brickman, FACHE, was named CEO of St. Anthony Hospital as well as president of Centura Health's Mountains North Denver Operating Group (MNDOG), September 7, 2011.
Prior to joining St. Anthony Hospital and Centura Health, Mr. Brickman was the System Senior VP, Provena Health, & CEO, Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, Ill. He joined Provena in 2004 and quickly set out to establish PSJMC as the comprehensive regional referral center for greater Will County. From the development of the ministry's new all private room patient tower and the area's only dedicated pediatric emergency department, to the addition of sophisticated services such as neurosciences, minimally invasive surgery and pediatric sub-specialties, Mr. Brickman worked diligently to strategically position the Medical Center for enduring success. With a staunch focus on growth, he led PSJMC's surgical, neuro, cardiovascular, pediatric and emergency programs to consistently rank among the busiest in the entire state. Under his leadership, several innovative physician alignment models were also developed to drive growth and improve quality, including a clinical integration effort recently approved by the Federal Trade Commission.
Mr. Brickman began his career in health care management at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield, Mass., the state's third largest hospital and flagship medical center for Baystate Health, where he spent 17 ½ years in various leadership roles of increasing managerial responsibility, culminating in the position of senior vice president/chief operating officer. He has served as executive vice president and chief operating officer for Meridian Health System, and as president of Meridian Hospitals Corporation. He earned a bachelor's degree in biological sciences at the University of Connecticut, Storrs, and a master's in business administration with an emphasis in health care administration from Temple University in Philadelphia.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and also serves on numerous other civic and professional groups. He and his wife, Elaine, a registered nurse, have three grown children.
Patrick serves as the Chief Operating Officer of St. Anthony Hospital (SAH) and is responsible for providing overall operational leadership and daily planning for the hospital. In addition to acting as the St. Anthony representative in all operational-related initiatives, Patrick is a key member of the SAH senior executive team which is charged with the development of service line strategies and operating plans to enhance patient care and grow market share within SAH's overall primary and secondary markets.
Patrick has a successful track record of leading growth and financial performance in key service lines through the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to enhance the range and value of the medical center operations and services. Patrick has over 15 years of well rounded experience working in major comprehensive academic and large health system environments demonstrating his skill and expertise in operational management and productivity improvements, physician relationship building, capital construction project management, strategic planning and policy development.
He is known by his colleague's as a result oriented leader who takes pride in consistent performance and effective stewardship. Ultimately, his approach to leadership comes down to "Accountability and Creditability".
Patrick earned a Master's of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Central Oklahoma and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He also volunteers his time in the community with various non-profit organizations that focus on improving the health of the community, education and leadership development for today's youth.
Christopher J. Ott, MD, FACEP, serves St. Anthony Hospital in a dual capacity - as medical director of the hospital’s emergency department, a post he has held for nearly four years, and now as our chief medical officer. He is a partner in Apex Emergency Group, P.C. the specialist team guiding emergency care at St. Anthony Hospital, St. Anthony Summit Medical Center, St. Anthony North Hospital and Avista Hospital.
Dr. Ott earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin prior to relocating to Denver for his internal medicine internship at St. Joseph Hospital and his residency in emergency medicine at Denver Health Medical Center. Dr. Ott joined the St. Anthony Medical Staff in 2001.
The St. Anthony Hospital emergency department has achieved its highest-ever patient satisfaction levels under Dr. Ott’s direction, reaching the 99th percentile in recent HCAHPS surveys. A valued member of the hospital’s Medical Executive, Utilization Review and Peer Review Committees, he also serves on the governance boards of the Colorado Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the Denver Medical Society.
Michelle Fournier Johnson joined St. Anthony Hospital and the Mountain and North Denver Operating Group (MNDOG) in September 2012. She oversees Human Resources for MNDOG hospitals while providing strategic leadership with the other HR Centers of Excellence in the organization’s approach to talent acquisition, management, development and engagement.
Michelle joins us from Fresenius Medical Care where she served as Vice President of Human Resources for the West Division, with prior senior leadership roles with AutoNation, Coors Distributing Company, Pepsi-Cola Company, Xerox Corporation and General Motors.
Michelle has a master’s in Labor and Industrial Relations and a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Psychology and Employment Relations from Michigan State University.
Janell Moerer, MBA, serves as Group Vice President Strategy and Business Development for the Mountain North Denver Operating Group (MNDOG) of Centura Health. Along with St. Anthony Hospital and OrthoColorado Hospital, this group encompasses Avista Adventist Hospital in Louisville, St. Anthony North Hospital in Westminster and St. Anthony Summit Medical Center in Frisco.
Moerer has brought to Centura Health a wealth of business development and strategy experience gained in the ambulatory care, hospital, post acute care, rehabilitation and insurance sectors. For the 12 years prior to joining our organization, she served as Vice President of Business Development, Innovation and Transformation for Via Christi Health, Kansas’ largest provider of health services with 15 hospitals, and over 300 employed physicians.
Moerer earned her BS in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and her MBA from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. She is active with the American College of Healthcare Executives and a board member of Innovation Leader Network. Moerer and her husband Brent are the parents of two children.
Mr. Thompson joined Centura Health in 2003, bringing years of varied experience from the healthcare industry and the private sector. As Chief Financial Officer of St. Anthony Hospital, Mr. Thompson works on corporate finance, operating cost reduction, earning improvement and healthcare organization and productivity. Before joining Centura Health, Mr. Thompson worked for Providence Memorial Hospital, owned and operated by Tenet Healthcare, as Assistant CFO. Mr. Thompson earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas Tech University.

Cindy served as
the CNO and VP of Nursing Services of Community Health Systems in Franklin,
Tennessee until 2014 where she successfully coached staff on HCAHPS score
improvement, providing CNO orientation and onboarding, developed online
education for nursing, and assisted in the management of nursing continuing
education, electronic medical record development, and a number of committees
related to quality and safety. She was also involved in nursing policy and
procedure development, and nursing staffing software design.
