This advanced certification, developed in collaboration with the American Heart Association/ American Stroke Association, recognizes the select group of hospitals with the state-of-the-art infrastructure, staff and training necessary to receive and treat patients with the most complex strokes.
    Stroke Gold Plus 2015

    The American Heart Association/American Stroke Association "Get With The Guidelines - Stroke Gold Plus Performance Achievement Award" recognizes St.Anthony Hospital's commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of stroke care by ensuring that stroke patients receive treatment according to nationally accepted standards and recommendations. These measures include aggressive use of medications, such as tPA, antithrombotics, anticoagulation therapy, DVT prophylaxis, cholesterol reducing drugs and smoking cessation, all aimed at reducing death and disability and improving the lives of stroke patients.

    Target: Stroke is a national quality improvement campaign created by the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association to improve outcomes for ischemic stroke patients by helping hospitals achieve door-to-needle (DTN) times of 60 minutes or less. This award acknowledges St.Anthony Hospital for accomplishing this goal. 

    *The American Heart Association and American Stroke Association recognize this hospital for achieving 85% or higher adherence to all Get With The Guidelines "Stroke Performance Achievement indicators for consecutive 12 month intervals and 75% or higher compliance with 5 of 8 Get With The Guidelines" Stroke Quality Measures to improve quality of patient care and outcomes in addition to achieving IV rt-PA door to needle times = 60 minutes in 50% or more of applicable acute ischemic stroke patients (minimum of 6) during one calendar quarter.

    Healthgrades awards are based on clinical outcomes that take into account risk-adjusted mortality and in-hospital complications. The annual performance evaluation encompasses some 4,500 hospitals nationwide.

    2015 Rescuscitation Gold AwardSt. Anthony Hospital has received the Get With The Guidelines®–Resuscitation Gold Award for implementing specific quality improvement measures outlined by the American Heart Association for the treatment of patients who suffer in-hospital cardiac arrests in the hospital.

    More than 200,000 adults and children have an in-hospital cardiac arrest each year, according to the American Heart Association. The Get With The Guidelines-Resuscitation program was developed with the goal to save lives of those who experience in-hospital cardiac arrests through consistently following the most up-to-date research-based guidelines for treatment. Guidelines include following protocols for patient safety, medical emergency team response, effective and timely resuscitation (CPR) and post-resuscitation care.

    *The American Heart Association and American Stroke Association recognize this hospital for achieving 85% or higher adherence to all Get With The Guidelines®-Rescuscitation Achievement Measures for two or more consecutive years to improve quality of patient care and outcomes.

    GWTG Action Registry Platinum AwardSt. Anthony Hospital has received the American College of Cardiology’s NCDR ACTION Registry–GWTG Platinum Performance Achievement Award for 2014, one of only 256 hospitals nationwide to receive the honor. The award recognizes St. Anthony Hospital’s commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of care for heart attack patients and signifies that we have reached an aggressive goal of treating these patients to standard levels of care as outlined by the American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association clinical guidelines and recommendations.
    ChestPainCenter.gifThe Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care (SCPC), an international not-for-profit organization that focuses on transforming cardiovascular care, has awarded the hospital its Chest Pain Center Accreditation. The award followed a rigorous evaluation of the hospital's cardiac care outcomes, processes, collaboration with prehospital providers and its and ability to provide 24/7 interventions. By becoming an Accredited Chest Pain Center, St. Anthony Hospital has enhanced the quality of care for the acute coronary syndrome (ACS patient) and has demonstrated its commitment to higher standards.
    HeartAttackReceivingCenter_250.gifThe American Heart Association has awarded St. Anthony Hospital its Mission: Lifeline® Heart Attack Receiving Center Accreditation. The accreditation program recognizes centers that meet or exceed quality of care measures for people experiencing the most severe type of heart attack, ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), in which blood flow is completely blocked to a portion of the heart. The recognition followed stringent on-site reviews by accreditation specialists from the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care.

    2014 Get With the Guidelines Heart Failure AwardThe Get With The Guidelines® Heart Failure Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award signifies that St. Anthony Hospital has reached an exceptional goal of treating heart failure patients according to the guidelines of care recommended by the AHA/American College of Cardiology.

    Evidence confirms that the quick and efficient use of guideline procedures can improve the quality of care for heart failure patients, save lives and ultimately, reduce health care costs by lowering the recurrence of heart attacks.

This outstanding accomplishment recognizes St. Anthony Hospital's efforts to consistently meet the highest standards for diagnosis and treatment of STEMI heart attack care.

    *The American Heart Association recognizes St. Anthony Hospital for achieving 85% or higher composite adherence to all Mission: Lifeline® STEMI Receiving Center Performance Achievement indicators for consecutive 12-month intervals and 75% or higher compliance on all Mission: Lifeline STEMI Receiving Center quality measures to improve the quality of care for STEMI patients.

Receiving this Gold Seal of Approval signals that the hospital's stroke and cardiovascular related programs, associates and physicians are leaders in the Rocky Mountain Region.
    Lantern AwardThe Emergency Nurses Association Lantern Award designation recognizes an emergency department's commitment to quality, safety, a healthy work environment, and innovation in nursing practice and emergency care. Emergency departments that receive the Lantern Award designation exemplify a culture of excellence in emergency care, including strong leadership, practice credibility, and workplace recognition. To qualify for the Lantern Award, an emergency department applicant must complete a comprehensive application that includes performance metrics, narratives, and exemplar responses.
    NAPBC Award St. Anthony Hospital holds the gold standard for breast center accreditation that evaluates strengths across a wide spectrum of services including prevention, early detection, diagnosis, support staff, staging, cancer treatment, rehabilitation, the quality of the multidisciplinary team and genetic counseling. To receive accreditation, breast centers must undergo a rigorous evaluation and review of their performance and adherence to NAPBC standards. Based on these stringent, nationally recognized, evidence-based quality measures, accreditation is granted only to those centers that commit to providing the best possible comprehensive care to patients with diseases of the breast.
    ACR AccreditationSt. Anthony Hospital has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in both mammography and stereotactic breast biopsy as the result of a recent review by the American College of Radiology (ACR). The ACR gold seal of accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety. It is awarded only to facilities meeting ACR Practice Guidelines and Technical Standards after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. Image quality, personnel qualifications, adequacy of facility equipment, quality control procedures, and quality assurance programs are assessed.
