Our Award Winning Services will Continue at the New St. Anthony Hospital
Patient Care Excellence
St. Anthony Hospital will continue to provide the highest level of shock-trauma, neurosciences, cardiology, oncology and orthopedic services. A care giving staff of more than 1700 associates and 222 exceptionally equipped private patient rooms will assure each patient receives optimal care.
State-of-the-Art Surgery
Each of the 14 surgical suites features a state-of-the-art ceiling boom system that integrates imaging, monitoring and other critical procedural technologies. The new Trauma Room 10 (T-10) is the only dedicated field-to-surgery suite in the Rocky Mountain Region. A custom elevator at the helipad can speed patients to T-10 in just three seconds.
High-Tech Transportation
Flight For Life Colorado was founded at St. Anthony Central Hospital in 1972-the first hospital-based air transport system of its kind in the nation. Nearly 40 years later, it has logged well over 100,000 transports of the most critically ill and injured patients. Three helipads at the new hospital assure this life-saving service continues strong.
"Smart" and Safe
The 560,000 square-foot facility features 200 security cameras, 7000 smoke/heat detectors and the most advanced safety systems available. Mapping computers in each elevator help Fire Department personnel locate problems immediately. "Smart" technology manages energy usage throughout-just part of the LEED criteria met through design.
The Healing Environment
Natural textures and tones, comfortable furnishings, ambient light and carefully considered way-finding combine to create a calm, caring setting for patients and their families. The atrium ceiling and plantscaping of the second-floor Procedural Waiting Area demonstrate this advanced design principle in action.
Culture of Caring
It was the determination of Sister Mary Huberta and her six Catholic Sisters that led to the creation of St. Anthony Hospital on Sloan's Lake nearly 120 years ago. That passionate spirit of caring is already a presence here. Sister Regina of the Sisters of St. Francis, recently joined Tim Keenan, Administrative Director for Support Services and Facilities Operation, for a guided tour.
