2012 - American Heart Association Mission: Lifeline® Gold Quality Achievement Award - In a cardiac emergency, the right treatment at the right time can be a matter of life and death. That's why St. Anthony Hospital is proud to be recognized for our performance in Mission: Lifeline®, an American Heart Association program that helps ensure prompt emergency cardiac treatment based on the latest scientific guidelines. This outstanding accomplishment recognizes St. Anthony Hospital’s efforts to consistently meet the highest standards for diagnosis and treatment of STEMI heart attack care.

We congratulate our STEMI patient care teams lifesaving efforts and work to ensure compliance with the American Heart Association’s recommended treatment guidelines. “This is an incredible milestone for our program, and we are excited to be one of a select few programs in the nation to achieve this recognition,” said Cardiovascular Clinical Nurse Specialist Julie Benz, RN, DNP.

*The American Heart Association recognizes St. Anthony Hospital for achieving 85% or higher composite adherence to all Mission: Lifeline® STEMI Receiving Center Performance Achievement indicators for consecutive 12-month intervals and 75% or higher compliance on all Mission: Lifeline STEMI Receiving Center quality measures to improve the quality of care for STEMI patients.

Joint Commission Certifications

2011 - Advanced Certification in Heart Failure from The Joint Commission. We were the second hospital in the country to receive this certification recognizing our exceptional efforts to foster better outcomes for heart failure patients.

2011 - Disease Specific Certification for Acute Coronary Syndrome from The Joint Commission

2011 - The Joint Commission recognizes that we continuously provide safe, high-quality care, treatment and services for Acute Myocardial Infarction patients.


2011 - American College of Cardiology Foundation's NCDR® ACTION Registry®–GWTGTM Gold Performance Achievement Award
To receive the ACTION Registry–GWTG Gold Performance Achievement Award, St. Anthony Hospital consistently followed the treatment guidelines in ACTION Registry–GWTG for 8 consecutive quarters and met a performance standard of 85% for specific performance measures. Following these treatment guidelines improves adherence to ACC/AHA Clinical Guideline recommendations, monitors drug safety and the overall quality of care provided to ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and non- ST- elevation myocardial infarction patients (NSTEMI).
