Life is About Doing.

Our technology, innovation, and leading-edge cancer treatments help people get the care they need and then move on as quickly as possible –spending more time living life, enjoying the people they love and discovering new horizons. In our 2011 Cancer & Oncology Annual Report you'll see the ways our physicians and patients are working together and collaborating on how to make cancer treatments more effective and lives less disrupted.
Multidisciplinary Cancer Committee

St. Anthony Hospital’s Cancer Program is approved by the American College of Surgeons (ACoS) Commission on Cancer, and we use a multispecialty, team approach to assess and coordinate care for our cancer patients. Our cancer program uses state-of-the-art equipment with a full range of medical specialists, providing cancer patients with information, support programs, comprehensive medical care, and the option of joining ongoing medical trials. St. Anthony’s Cancer Committee meets six times per year to review program standards, to work on annual goals (Programmatic, Clinical, Community Outreach, and Quality Improvements), and to incorporate all of our many hospital services into a program that can expand with our new facility, finding the best way to provide care for our patients and their families.

Cancer Registry
The Cancer Registry is an integral component of the Cancer Program, and it operates under the supervision of the Cancer Committee. It is the department which identifies, collects, and maintains information regarding primary cancers and tumors initially diagnosed and/or treated at St. Anthony Hospital. The Registry positively affects cancer patient care by adhering to the CoC standards for case eligibility, abstracting cases on a timely basis, submitting information to the National Cancer Data Base (NCDB), participating in NCDB studies, conducting quality reviews, and maintaining long-term follow-up for patients diagnosed and/or treated at the hospital in order to assess the outcomes of their cancer care. In addition to this, the Registry coordinates St. Anthony Hospital’s Tumor Board, Breast Tumor, and Brain Tumor conferences.
