Black Eyed Chili

½ lb 95% lean beef or buffalo
1 15 oz can unsalted black eye peas drained
1 large onion, chopped
1 can southwestern black beans with cumin and spices (Kuners)
1 lb. can stewed Italian tomatoes with oregano and basil
1 can water
1 tsp. whole cumin seed
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 tb. Olive oil
Brown meat, onion, and garlic in olive oil.
Add black beans, tomatoes, black eye peas, chili powder, water and cumin.
Add water as desired and simmer.
Ready to eat whenever you are.
1. Replace black eye peas with low salt corn
2. Add small can mushrooms or black olives
3. Add small can chopped green chilies
4. Add chopped celery with the onion
