2011 - American College of Cardiology Foundation's NCDR® ACTION Registry®–GWTGTM Gold Performance Achievement Award
To receive the ACTION Registry–GWTG Gold Performance Achievement Award, St. Anthony Hospital consistently followed the treatment guidelines in ACTION Registry–GWTG for 8 consecutive quarters and met a performance standard of 85% for specific performance measures. Following these treatment guidelines improves adherence to ACC/AHA Clinical Guideline recommendations, monitors drug safety and the overall quality of care provided to ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and non- ST- elevation myocardial infarction patients (NSTEMI).

2011 - American Heart Association/American Stroke Association "Get With The Guidelines - Stroke Gold Plus Performance Achievement Award." The award recognizes St.Anthony Hospital's commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of stroke care by ensuring that stroke patients receive treatment according to nationally accepted standards and recommendations. These measures include aggressive use of medications, such as tPA, antithrombotics, anticoagulation therapy, DVT prophylaxis, cholesterol reducing drugs and smoking cessation, all aimed at reducing death and disability and improving the lives of stroke patients.

Target Stroke Honor Roll - Target: Stroke is a national quality improvement campaign created by the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association to improve outcomes for ischemic stroke patients by helping hospitals achieve door-to-needle (DTN) times of 60 minutes or less. This award acknowledges St.Anthony for accomplishing this goal.

*The American Heart Association and American Stroke Association recognize this hospital for achieving 85% or higher adherence to all Get With The Guidelines "Stroke Performance Achievement indicators for consecutive 12 month intervals and 75% or higher compliance with 6 of 10 Get With The Guidelines" Stroke Quality Measures to improve quality of patient care and outcomes in addition to achieving IV rt-PA door to needle times ≤ 60 minutes in 50% or more of applicable acute ischemic stroke patients (minimum of 6) during one calendar quarter.

*The American Heart Association recognizes St. Anthony Hospital for achieving 85% or higher composite adherence to all Mission: Lifeline® STEMI Receiving Center Performance Achievement indicators for consecutive 12-month intervals and 75% or higher compliance on all Mission: Lifeline STEMI Receiving Center quality measures to improve the quality of care for STEMI patients.

Blue Distinction Center for Cardiac Care by Blue Cross & Blue Shield Association | St. Anthony Central Hospital | Denver, Colorado

2011 Blue Distinction® Center for Spine Surgery - St. Anthony Hospital has been named a Blue Distinction Center for Spine Surgery® from Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield for demonstrating better overall quality of care and patient results in spine surgery. To earn this designation, St. Anthony Hospital was evaluated based on an objective, evidence-based selection criteria established with input from expert physicians and medical organizations. The goal of Blue Distinction is to identify medical facilities that deliver better overall quality and medical outcomes for a specific area of specialty care, helping patients and doctors to make more informed hospital choices. The Joint Commission National Quality Approval Seal | St. Anthony Central Hospital | Denver, Colorado

The Joint Commission - St. Anthony Hospital has been awarded Disease Specific Certification for Stroke Care by The Joint Commission. Receiving this Gold Seal of Approval signals that the hospital's stroke-related programs, associates and physicians are leaders in the Rocky Mountain Region.

2011 - St. Anthony Hospital was awarded a 2011 "Gold Leaf" award from the Colorado Healthcare Communicators. The award was for Media Relations: Proactive Story Placements for the work with the media before, during and after the move to the new campus. The award was presented to St. Anthony Hospital and PR partner, Ground Floor Media.
2010 - American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, "Get With the Guidelines 2010 Gold Plus Award" (1 of only 4 hospitals in Colorado) for Stroke. We also received Gold Awards for Coronary Artery Disease and Heart Failure making us the only hospital in Colorado to achieve this triple "Gold" designation.*
